So, my morning didn’t start out too peacefully. I was forced out of bed and DID NOT appreciate the circumstances. I got mad and everyone around me knew it.
Grumble, grumble, grumble, seethe, seethe, seethe.
I did not like the way I was feeling so I went in search of ways to diffuse the justified (to me) anger.
First step was to do a google search on mindfulness and anger. Came up with this article, which was helpful for me, but I still felt the charge of it.
Still feeling the charge. Hmmm… okay, off to Youtube to see if I could find something there. EFT usually helps discharge the energy of the emotion. First search was on FasterEFT and anger. First one I looked at didn’t really fit well but this one, even though there was no tapping, was interesting to listen to.
Put out the fire of anger or it’ll destroy you
One more search on Eft anger revealed a video by Brad Yates (I LOVE his tapping style!) that helped loosen the hold that anger had on me. I actually started laughing at the absurdity of it all somewhere in the middle. Ahhhh, a much better feeling place. 🙂

NOW I can start the day off on the right foot, without all this negative chatter in my brain.
🙂 It’s kind of funny, my Headspace app just popped up this message:
Life is sometimes difficult. We know this for a fact, and yet still we resist thought things when they happen, some how thinking they ‘shouldn’t be’. Why is that?
Just another way to think about all the things that “mess up” our mood. “It is what it is”, is a good mantra to live by, it would seem. So much less stress in that way of thinking.
