Parents don’t want their children to make the wrong decisions, so they don’t allow them to make the decision. And then the child becomes dependent, and then the parent resents that, and it gets off into a blameful thing early on. If you are encouraging children to do all that they can do — and not squelching the natural eagerness that is within them, so that they can shine and thrive and show you and themselves how good they are at adapting to physical experience — then everyone wins.

In a world where everything has a tendency to look topsy turvy, this quote lets you know that your power lies in YOUR vortex.
See this world as a free world, and see everyone in it as trying—through their individual experiences—to find their way back to that calling, back to that Source Energy. And even though there are billions of them going about it in a way that is different than you would choose, there’s no right or wrong way. In other words, bless them all, and get on with the only thing you have any power about, which is opening or closing your vortex to your natural state of Well-Being.

We are all Vibrational Beings. You’re like a receiving mechanism that when you set your tuner to the station, you’re going to hear what’s playing. Whatever you are focused upon is the way you set your tuner, and when you focus there for as little as 17 seconds, you activate that vibration within you. Once you activate a vibration within you, Law of Attraction begins responding to that vibration, and you’re off and running–whether it’s something wanted or unwanted.
All Is Well
I am so very grateful to have done tons of walking today – over 15000 steps. This is something that I really didn’t think I would be able to do. I have been working on walking longer distances for quite a while and just don’t seem to do well with more than 1 1/2 miles at a time. Walking over 7 miles in a day wasn’t even something that had ever crossed my mind. I did it over the whole day with many smaller, joy-filled and feeling good walks. My last walk of the day happened at sunset and what a magnificent sunset it was! Absolutely stunning. Mother nature sure knows how to put on a show to be grateful for.
Last night I managed to get myself it a small twist over something that really wasn’t mine to get irritated about. This morning I went and found two very apt quotes from Byron Katie:
Staying in Your Own Business
I can find only three kinds of business in the universe: mine, yours, and God’s. (For me, the word God means “reality.” Reality is God, because it rules. Anything that’s out of my control, your control, and everyone else’s control—I call that God’s business.) Much of our stress comes from mentally living out of our own business. When I think, “You need to get a job, I want you to be happy, you should be on time, you need to take better care of yourself,” I am in your business. When I’m worried about earthquakes, floods, war, or when I will die, I am in God’s business. If I am mentally in your business or in God’s business, the effect is separation.
To think that I know what’s best for anyone else is to be out of my business. Even in the name of love, it is pure arrogance, and the result is tension, anxiety, and fear. Do I know what’s right for myself? That is my only business. Let me work with that before I try to solve your problems for you. If you understand the three kinds of business enough to stay in your own business, it could free your life in a way that you can’t even imagine. The next time you’re feeling stress or discomfort, ask yourself whose business you’re in mentally, and you may burst out laughing! That question can bring you back to yourself.

What ease is felt when I stopped trying to be in someone else’s business. It seems so simple but it makes the world of difference to how I feel. It is most definitely a skill that will require a bit of practice but I am up for it.
While I was out walking, I remembered that, at one time, years ago, I was listening to material by Byron Katie in my car. I wasn’t sure if I still had it or even where it could be. When I got home, I went nosing around and came across a treasure trove of material by Byron Katie. While I don’t remember actually doing much with it, I must have realized the benefit to be had as I have several works. I am so looking forward to looking through the stuff more fully tomorrow and ripping the cd’s to mp3s so I can listen on the go! 🙂 Gotta love when I remember those type of “memories” to help me along my current path 🙂 So grateful for it all 🙂
