So Angry First Thing In the Morning

Angry!

So, my morning didn’t start out too peacefully. I was forced out of bed and DID NOT appreciate the circumstances. I got mad and everyone around me knew it.

Grumble, grumble, grumble, seethe, seethe, seethe.

I did not like the way I was feeling so I went in search of ways to diffuse the justified (to me) anger.

First step was to do a google search on mindfulness and anger. Came up with this article, which was helpful for me, but I still felt the charge of it.

  • How to Use Mindfulness to Cope with Anger
  • Still feeling the charge. Hmmm… okay, off to Youtube to see if I could find something there. EFT usually helps discharge the energy of the emotion. First search was on FasterEFT and anger. First one I looked at didn’t really fit well but this one, even though there was no tapping, was interesting to listen to.

Put out the fire of anger or it’ll destroy you

One more search on Eft anger revealed a video by Brad Yates (I LOVE his tapping style!) that helped loosen the hold that anger had on me. I actually started laughing at the absurdity of it all somewhere in the middle. Ahhhh, a much better feeling place. 🙂

Clearing Anger – Tapping with Brad Yates

NOW I can start the day off on the right foot, without all this negative chatter in my brain.

🙂 It’s kind of funny, my Headspace app just popped up this message:

Life is sometimes difficult. We know this for a fact, and yet still we resist thought things when they happen, some how thinking they ‘shouldn’t be’. Why is that?

Just another way to think about all the things that “mess up” our mood. “It is what it is”, is a good mantra to live by, it would seem. So much less stress in that way of thinking.

    Skyped with Gary Craig!

Okay, so this was just way too cool! 🙂

At the end of January, Gary Craig sent out a newsletter and asked for testimonials from people who had watched the Borrowing Benefits videos. The Borrowing Benefits videos are where you just watch and tap along with whatever Gary is helping the person on the screen with. For the most part, it didn’t *seem* like the experience, of the person on the screen, had any correlation with my life experience.

I wrote in telling him about my experience, which is what got me hooked on EFT about 10 years ago.

I watched the Borrowing Benefits videos and tapped along, feeling VERY silly. I didn’t feel like it was doing anything for me but tapped along until the very end of the DVD. When I was done, I put the DVDs away (this was before it was all available streaming online) and went about my life. About a week later, I had a major shock! My habit of nail biting / picking was GONE! I had nails. Just like that. I had spent the previous 35 years unconsciously picking and chewing on my nails and cuticles and it was totally gone with absolutely no knowledge or intention of my own. The only thing I could attribute it to was the EFT. The EFT must have helped me release some of the stress that contributed to that habit.

I shared my story, via email with him and was done with it. 🙂 Never did I expect that he would actually call me asking if I would mind doing a video testimonial for him. We skyped and he recorded and asked me various questions. He is putting together a “why you should buy the borrowing benefits” promo and I may actually be part of it. I really do believe that EFT has helped me release a lot of baggage I had been carrying with me. My life is so much better for my discovery of his work.

The Difference Between FasterEFT and Traditional EFT

This is a fabulous explanation from Robert Smith regarding the differences between the two EFT version.

I am still pretty new to the FasterEFT version, but it just FEELS better to me and makes a ton of sense.

That is not to say that the other version doesn’t have any benefit. I have received tremendous benefit from the original version started by Gary Craig.

Watch the video and let me know what YOU think. 🙂

Tapping to Start Your Morning Off Right

Seems like the new year comes around and I am motivated to use EFT to move beyond where I was before. I have been watching many different EFT videos from Robert Smith, but love to fall back on my old reliable (and very pleasant to look at 😀 ) Brad Yates.

This morning I tapped along to two of Brad’s videos to get my day started off on the right foot.
