Gratitude for a Good Night’s Sleep – Day 15

As the day draws to an end, I am so looking forward to a full, peaceful night’s sleep. I am soooo grateful for when I am able to get the perfect amount of sleep for me. Lately, it has been a bit hit or miss so I am lining up a good night’s sleep tonight. I am so grateful for nights where I lay my head down and fall fast asleep and sleep until my alarm goes off in the morning.

To help me on my way, I will be watching and tapping along with one of my favorite EFT practitioners, Brad Yates. 🙂

Sweet Dreams!

Gratitude for Quality Time – Day 14

Found a Dollar

It’s funny how the most mundane outings can turn into something pretty memorable 🙂

I had to take J, 10 years old, to the mall to get him a new suit for a school function. I am typically not a shopping person but if I know where I want to go and what I want to get, I am pretty good with it. We parked way out in order to get my step count up on my pedometer. J was all for the exercise. As we crossed the lot, I saw a dollar on the ground. I pointed it out to him and he was mighty impressed to be a dollar richer 😀 Down the rest of the parking lot, he stopped to pick up all sorts of plastic garbage that people had tossed on the ground. LOL by the time we got to the door, he had both hands full! He was pretty please with himself for doing this on his own and didn’t want any help from me at all.

When I was young, malls were all about the stores, not fun stuff for kids. We did the shopping quickly and successfully and then hit the “for the kids” stuff on the way out. J got to try the bungee jump where they bounce up and down to extreme heights. The poor boy wasn’t too please with it and appeared to be holding on for dear life to the cords. We cut that one a little short for his benefit. He was really proud that he actually tried it. He wasn’t really sure if he wanted to, but he did it. His next stop was the Merry Go Round. He had the whole thing to himself and chose to sit in the tea cup and spin himself silly 🙂 He like that one. On the way out, we stopped by the Hurricane booth where you get to stand on the inside and experience 70+ mph winds. He was seriously windblown by the time he got out.

Time to head home 🙂 On the way back up the parking lot, he netted another prize – a mario kart DS stylus that someone had dropped.

Not a bad outing for something as boring as suit shopping 🙂 I am so grateful to have been part of the magic of his day!

Until Tomorrow!

Gratitude for Complaint Free – Day 13

A Complaint Free World, inc. is a non-profit, non-religious 501c3 organization which provides Complaint Free purple bracelets and other materials to help people affect positive change in their lives by becoming Complaint Free.

I got my bracelets from A Complaint Free World and it is quite interesting how often I say things that are in a complaining vein. I will say, though, I am grateful for Operation Gratitude because I am focusing more positively in general and am finding things don’t bother me quite as much. I am going for the 21 days and have some spare bracelets 🙂 Anyone want to give it a go??

My feeling is that if it makes me think twice before I say things, it will be an improvement for sure – even if it takes me forever to get 21 straight days. Going for happiness in my life is always a good thing!

Until Tomorrow!

Gratitude and Appreciation – Day 12

Let your dominant intent be…

Let your dominant intent be to feel good which means be playful, have fun, laugh often, look for reasons to appreciate and practice the art of appreciation. And as you practice it, the Universe, who has been watching you practice, will give you constant opportunities to express it. So that your life just gets better and better and better.

Excerpted from the workshop in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, September 13th, 1997

I have been sooo busy today and I am tuckered out so this will be a sort one.

Upon realizing that I don’t have to do large bits of exercise, I have been doing quite a bit in smaller time frames through out the day. I am so happy that my body is keeping up and can do it! I had been so much looking at how it wasn’t doing what I wanted it to do that I totally over looked what it could!! I am so grateful for my wonderful focus shift 🙂

I ripped my Byron Katie CDs into MP3 format and loaded my phone up with them. Imagine my delight when my car cooperated and actually played them over blue tooth on speakers in my car! Sometimes the Sync system in my car is a bit grouchy and has a difficult time playing nice with my phone 🙂 Love it when things work out like that.

Was a beautiful day all around and now it’s time to go socialize with my hubby 🙂

Until Tomorrow!
