Gratitude for Family – Day 4

Each week, I get an email that has all the writing prompts from Plinky for the week. I usually just delete it without so much as a glance. This week, there were quite a few prompts that fit in very nicely with my goal here, so I am going to answer one of them as my Day 4 Operation Gratitude post.

Name something you appreciate about each of your immediate family members.

  • Dear Daughter – I think that I appreciate her conviction about just about everything. She knows what she believes and isn’t afraid to stand up for it. She is most definitely her own person and won’t change just to fit in. She is passionate about her causes and does what ever she can to support them.
  • Middle Son – He is a very strong personality who knows what he wants and when he wants it. I appreciate his very bizarre sense of humor that has, on many occasions, totally caught me off guard, resulting in a fit of laughter on my part.
  • Youngest Son – He has always been very much of a cuddle bunny ๐Ÿ™‚ He is the one in the house that will come running through a room just to give you a quick cuddle and then run off again with hardly slowing down. I appreciate how free he is with his love and hope that never changes. The world really needs much more of that!
  • Dear Husband – I so appreciate the journey we are on together. While he can’t understand my rational, I would not be the person that I am today without everything we have gone through, together. I am grateful that he loves me no matter what and that he is always there for me, even in his darkest times. I have become a better person due to our relationship and I greatly appreciate that.
  • Until Tomorrow!

For some reason, today has turned out to be much longer than it should have been. For the last couple of hours, I have been trying to get my son’s computer upgraded to Window 7 and get McAfee up and running properly.

There appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel as it appears that McAfee is just about finished (finally!). Once I am done with this, I will be putting the kids to bed (ahhh the silence ๐Ÿ˜€ ) and then head to the couch with a glass of wine in hand.

I am so grateful that the day is winding down and I get to start over fresh tomorrow. The ahhh factor of my bed is calling and I am very grateful for that as well!

Night all! Until Tomorrow!

Gratitude at Work – Day 2

I am so grateful for this little, compact heater that someone in the office has let me borrow. It is a cold, rainy day today and my office gets quite cold. The amount of heat this little thing puts out is astounding and, oh so, appreciated! On top of the heat, it also creates quite a nice white noise barrier that allows me to get though my work with the smallest amount of distractions.

I love the fact that I have whizzed through the year end book keeping that needed to be done. I know our accountant will be sending through his “to-do” list shortly and I am so grateful to be just about all up to date. What a great feeling. Nothing like the doom, that looms, when you KNOW you will have tons of stuff to do in order to catch up.

In addition to the wonderful white noise of the heater, I have also been enjoying listening to my mellow New Age Pandora station. I love Pandora. I love that I can create the station with the exact type of music that I like listening to.

OH, look at that! In the midst of my gratitude post, the sun decided to make an appearance ๐Ÿ˜€ It has been cold, grey, windy and rainy today (much like the British weather I remember!) so seeing the brightness of the sun is just the icing on the cake!

Until tomorrow!
