“Gratitude is the intention to count your blessings every day, every minute, while avoiding, whenever possible, the belief that you need or deserve different circumstances.” —Timothy Miller
Living Life as a Thank You: The Transformative Power of Daily Gratitude by Nina Lesowitz and Mary Beth Sammons
Each week, I get an email that has all the writing prompts from Plinky for the week. I usually just delete it without so much as a glance. This week, there were quite a few prompts that fit in very nicely with my goal here, so I am going to answer one of them as my Day 4 Operation Gratitude post.
Name something you appreciate about each of your immediate family members.

For some reason, today has turned out to be much longer than it should have been. For the last couple of hours, I have been trying to get my son’s computer upgraded to Window 7 and get McAfee up and running properly.
There appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel as it appears that McAfee is just about finished (finally!). Once I am done with this, I will be putting the kids to bed (ahhh the silence 😀 ) and then head to the couch with a glass of wine in hand.
I am so grateful that the day is winding down and I get to start over fresh tomorrow. The ahhh factor of my bed is calling and I am very grateful for that as well!
Night all! Until Tomorrow!

I am so grateful for this little, compact heater that someone in the office has let me borrow. It is a cold, rainy day today and my office gets quite cold. The amount of heat this little thing puts out is astounding and, oh so, appreciated! On top of the heat, it also creates quite a nice white noise barrier that allows me to get though my work with the smallest amount of distractions.
I love the fact that I have whizzed through the year end book keeping that needed to be done. I know our accountant will be sending through his “to-do” list shortly and I am so grateful to be just about all up to date. What a great feeling. Nothing like the doom, that looms, when you KNOW you will have tons of stuff to do in order to catch up.
In addition to the wonderful white noise of the heater, I have also been enjoying listening to my mellow New Age Pandora station. I love Pandora. I love that I can create the station with the exact type of music that I like listening to.
OH, look at that! In the midst of my gratitude post, the sun decided to make an appearance 😀 It has been cold, grey, windy and rainy today (much like the British weather I remember!) so seeing the brightness of the sun is just the icing on the cake!
